Panopto is a triptych of light boxes, attempting a personal narrative drawing on
elements from Anthony Chen's film Wet
Season. The central character of the film, a woman working as a teacher, generates
a personal search of my own experience of teaching. In the work, the academic environment
acquires a transitional but also a distanced, even alienating sense, perhaps
brought about by constant exposure and observance. Panopto is the brand name of
a digital platform that facilitates recording and live streaming of lectures
and presentations, addressed primarily to businesses and educational
institutions.
Panopto was created on the occasion of the Overview Effect exhibition organized by Thessaloniki International Film Festival which invited 14 Greek artists to watch the films of the IC section and create original works for each one of them.

The exhibition is organized in collaboration with the Metropolitan Organization of Museums of Visual Arts of Thessaloniki (MOMus).
